Biography of Javier BlakeView Cart / Checkout
Javier attended grade school in the United States Canal Zone area. In 1992, he graduated with High Honors from Broward College, with degrees in International Relations and Electronics Technology. Currently, through the medium of the Internet, he is helping people all over the United States discover and enjoy collecting beautiful currency from around the World. Javier, or 'Jav' as he likes to be called, worked as a customer service representative for 18 years at a major multi-national corporation, a position in which he performed all his duties in an ethical, responsible and satisfactory manner. This experience has afforded him many opportunities to refine his innate people skills, which he applies on a daily basis, and with good results. Jav has worked also as salesperson, clerk, office worker, webmaster, caregiver, driver, interpreter, tour guide, and entrepreneur. Currently, he is a bilingual office professional, and some of his hobbies include fitness, health and nutrition, model airplanes, the study of the French language, writing, and naturally, currency collecting. He loves pets and he has helped raise cats, parrots and a dog. Among the special people who have influenced Javier's personal character is the late Howard Finnegan, his Irish godfather from New York, who served as an ideal example of what it entails to be a real gentleman. Jav sincerely believes that success in life can be achieved by keeping an open mind, and by sincerely showing respect and empathy toward everyone, regardless of what their origin may be. One of Javier's main objectives during his lifetime is to help promote the hobby of foreign money collecting in the United States, and in a very significant way.
