Appraising currency

A foreign currency specialist will have to inspect your bills in person, as part of the appraisal process. Foreign currency specialists are often available at some coin dealer shops. To find a list of coin dealers in your area, visit
www.anywho.com
and follow these three easy steps: 1. Inside the FIND search box, it asks you to key in the Business Name or Category; for this, key in the phrase "Coin Dealers". 2. Inside the LOCATION search box, type Your City and State, Zip Code or Neighborhood. 3. Then, click on the FIND button, which is all the way to the right hand side of your screen. Note that, if typing in your city, state, zip code or neighborhood do not produce the results you seek, then you must key in the name of the larger metropolitan area closest to where you are. Foreign money, in order to be appraised, must be actually brought to a currency specialist for a thorough physical, on-site inspection of each bill. OBSERVATION: Photocopies and scans of bills are not sufficient, because there are many factors that can only be detected in person by a thorough physical inspection. Accurate appraisals, or even approximate valuations, cannot be made over the Internet or by regular mail using scans, e-mail attachments, photos or virtual images.
